SPICED GREEN TEA LATTE

This is the perfect drink to warm you up in the cold winter months! I am ecstatic because the kiddos are requesting this over hot chocolate!  Yes, mom has hit another home run! 🙂

This tasty latte inspired and adapted from Rich Roll’s PlantPower Way book has no added sugar or nuts, but it is full of sweetness and creaminess.  All whole plant-based ingredients and just enough spice to make your taste buds dance!

SPICED GREEN TEA LATTE

Warm and sweet latte with a pinch of spice!
Prep Time 3 mins
Cook Time 2 mins
Total Time 11 mins
Servings 1 cup

Ingredients
  

  • 1 large Medjool Date, pitted and halved
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 tea bag Green Tea
  • 1 Tbsp Hemp Seeds
  • 1/8 tsp Ground Ginger
  • 1/8 tsp Ground Turmeric
  • 1/8 tsp Ground Cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Add the pitted Medjool date and water to a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Drop in the tea bag. Allow the tea to seep for 6 minutes.
  • Remove tea bag from pot. Pour the water and date into a high speed blender. Add the remaining spices to the blender. Blend until date is dissolved and tea is smooth.
  • Pour the contents into a tea cup and enjoy!
